What is the weather like?

This is a tropical climate so it is warm and moist all year. The dry season is November to April, rainy season is between May and October. The monsoon is typically September-October, the rest of the rainy season is a mixture of sun and showers and is quite pleasant. The best investment for both seasons is an umbrella, available locally, you can shield from sun and showers.

What do I need to bring?

Think life on a tropical beach: swimwear, sandels, light cotton clothing, sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses, bug repelent. Pack light and if you forget anything, there is surprisingly good shopping around the island including pharmacies.

How do I get there?

Do I need a visa?

You are issued with a 30 day tourist visa on arrival by air, 15 days if you arrive overland. This latter visa can be extended twice giving a total of 45 days.

What if I arrive early?

Contact us and we will make accommodation arrangements.

Can I stay on longer?

Usually no problem at all to extend your vavcation with us but let us know before your last day.

Is it safe there?

Completely, this is one of the most friendly and peaceful islands on the planet!

Can I bring my partner/children?

Absolutely, there are a host of activities for those not involved in the yoga program.

Are the retreats suitable for beginners?

Yes, this is the perfect environment to begin your yoga journey.

Do many guests come on their own to the retreats?

Yes, maybe as many as 50% travel solo and make friends during the retreat. Yoga retreats can be a community event where you share experiences with like minded souls or you can take time for silence and solitude.

Do I need vaccinations?

Vaccinations are not required for Thailand but check if you plan to travel anywhere else in S. E. Asia

Is there internet access.

Yes, in the reception area but not the bedrooms. We cultivate a retreat environment and try to encourage guests to let go of the outside world for a few days.

What is the Thai currency.

Thai Baht is used throughout the country but you can use credit cards at the resort and there is a bank and ATM in the main town.

What language do they speak?

The official language is Thai but English is spoken at the resort and in tourist areas.

Can I book the recreation activities when I get there?

Yes, many of the activities like snorkeling, kayaking, mountain biking are free at the resort. More specialized recreations like diving, rock climbing and elephant trekking should be booked one day in advance.
